My Bacterial Vaginosis Story

BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS GETTING YOU DOWN??

You are not alone!

Bacterial vaginosis, also called BV is the most common vaginal infection in women of childbearing age. Bacterial vaginosis is one of the most common reasons for women to visit their doctor or gynecologist. 10-40% of women have had BV at least once. In the USA, 16% of pregnant women have BV. Yet BV does not get as much attention as yeast infection and can be easily misunderstood by the medical profession. As a mother with three children, I know that having repeated attacks of BV is not funny at all! It’s painful, sore and down right annoying and it itches terribly. The itching-- (Oh the terror of intense, almost uncontrollable itch!). Bacterial vaginosis has no manners and when you feel that itch coming on, you definitely have to scratch it! This then makes the problem worse. There is also the issue of dealing with the foul and fishy discharge. Don’t you just hate been held to ransom by bacterial vaginosis? Well, let’s find out if there’s any help out there for us ladies! Click on the links on the left hand side for some factual, no-nonsense advice on Bacterial Vaginosis.
